ABOUT PILATES

Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, Pilates, originally called Contrology, is a mindful movement practice designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance without adding bulk. Rooted in six core principles:  Breathing, Centering, Concentration, Control, Flow, and Precision.

Pilates helps improve posture, reduce stress, and prevent injury.

STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach that integrates modern exercise science with the original method. Each session is personalized to fit your posture, goals, and fitness level. Emphasizing five foundational principles:  Breathing, Pelvic and Rib Cage Placement, Scapular Stabilization, and Head & Neck Alignment.  This method ensures safe, effective movement for all bodies.

Recommended by doctors and physical therapists, Pilates is especially effective for relieving pain in the back, neck, hips, and knees by strengthening the core and realigning the body. Whether you are a dancer, athlete, trainer, or simply seeking better posture and less pain, Pilates offers lasting results.

I’ve seen Pilates transform my clients, helping them move with greater strength, awareness, and ease. Let it do the same for you.

MAT PILATES

Fitness on Yoga Mat

Mat Pilates is a form of fitness offering a low-impact full body workout without the requirement of special equipment

Mat Pilates is the original method created by Joseph Pilates, designed to strengthen and stretch the body, especially your core, using just a mat and your body weight.

It teaches the five essential principles that support better posture, balance, and body alignment. Whether you're new to Pilates or returning to the basics, Mat Pilates is the perfect place to build a strong foundation.

Each movement can be modified to suit all fitness levels and physical needs, making it a safe and effective practice for everyone.

No machines, no fuss, just you, your mat, and a stronger, more aligned body.
